24 Hour Play Festival
Oct 18-19 at North Moore High School
Here is how it works:
Pinecrest and Union Pines will each send : 1 playwright, 1 director, 1 tech lead, and 3-4 actors.
Students will come to North Moore on October 18th at 4:30 and participate in meet and greet to get to know everyone that they will be working with over the weekend. Everyone but the playwrights leave at 6:00. The Playwrights will stay and write their play from 6:00-10:00. All scripts must be finished before they leave at 10:00. I will email the directors and the actors the script that they will be working on by 10:30. This will give them the opportunity to look over it before rehearsal begins. I will purchase pizza and snacks for the work evening.
All directors, playwrights and tech arrive at NM at 8:00 am on October 19th for a production style meeting with me and the lead stage manager for the show. All actors will meet at North Moore at 9:00 am October 19th. They will do a read through, rehearse, and do a dress rehearsal throughout the day. They will perform at 7:30 that night.
