Icarus Auditions
Auditions for our NCTC production of Icarus will be August 3, 5, and 6 from 11:00am-3:00 pm each day. We will NOT have a meeting or auditions on Tuesday, August 4.
Please plan to attend the meetings/auditions even if you would like to focus more on the technical/backstage side of the show. We will be talking about the design concepts of the show during the meetings and auditions.

You do not need to print off a copy of the Icarus script (unless you want to). You will be provided with a printed copy at the first day of auditions on August 3.

Audition Scene 1: Daedalus (young) and Daedalus' Mother, pages 5-6
Audition Scene 2: Minos and Pasiphae, and a few Daedalus lines which can be done from off stage.

Icarus Audition Information
- Monday, Aug 3 will be theatre activities, a script read through, a discussion of how auditions will go, and then you will have time to further prepare your audition with scene partners.
- Tuesday, Aug 4 we will NOT be meeting. This will give an additional day for you to prepare for auditions.
- Wednesday, Aug 5 will be our day for primary auditions, and we will talk though what the second day of auditions will look like.
- Thursday, Aug 6 will be the second and final day of auditions.
- Like musical auditions, you will have 'primary' audition scenes. Your primary audition scenes should be memorized and prepared. (If you are helping someone else out for other audition scenes, it's okay to have the script in your hand for that).
- If you are interested in multiple characters, you can have more than one primary audition scene that you have memorized and prepared.
- NOTE: Both Daedalus and Icarus are in two audition scenes. This is because both characters have significant stage time/lines in the show, and both characters age throughout. If you are interested in one of these characters, you should memorize and prepare both scenes that your character is in.
