Auditions for Theatre Arts 2 (Intermediate)
Requirements for acceptance into Theatre Arts 2 (Intermediate)
- Open to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors
- Taken and passed Theatre Arts 1 with at least a 70 (or, auditioned to place out of Theatre Arts 1)
- Monologue based performance audition (Shakespeare Monologue, information below)
- Monologue performance will be judged on accuracy of memorization/presentation, ability to perform in front of a group, and vocal performance fundamentals. In short, present the monologue accurately, loudly, and clearly in front of a group.
Shakespeare Monologue Audition
Select a Shakespearian monologue to memorize, prepare and perform in front your Theatre Arts 1 class. For students currently enrolled in Theatre 1, we will plan to perform these in class mid semester, date TBA (although you can perform the monologue earlier than this date if you are prepared).
All monologues should be chosen from the list below.
