Job Application

Your job application will include BOTH a Cover Letter and a Resume.

Make sure you submit your Cover Letter and Resume on Canvas AND email it to your director aeg0917@ncmcs.net.  Make sure these are submitted (both to Canvas, and emailed to your director) no later than Feb 16.

Cover Letter (professional business letter)
  • Letter should be written to the director, applying for the position
  • Do your research, this letter should include the responsibilities/tasks that plan to take on as director
  • This letter should include why you feel you are well fit for this position

Theatrical Resume
  • You may update your Resume from your Honors Theatre Application, or you may create a new resume.

Production aspects include (but are not limited to):

  • Stage Manager
Keep notes of all blocking, be on book for rehearsals
  • Lighting Designer
Program and build lights for the show, work closely with directors to brainstorm ideas
  • Sound Designer
There aren’t extensive sound cues, so works closely with lighting designer until needed
  • Publicity
Run the pinecrest players instagram (or create a new one for the show), create posters closer to showtime
  • Costume Designer
Should work closely with dramaturg to make accurate costumes (costume design is really flexible and open to the designer’s interpretation though)
  • Dramaturg
Should do research and have extensive knowledge of 1920’s, work closely with costume designer
  • Scenic Designer x2
Ideally, one designer to help create the concept and direct construction, another to work on the physical construction
  • Props
Use both the pinecrest props closet and outside sources for all the props we need
  • Technical Director
Oversee light, sound, and scenic design and help where needed

From the Directors:  We don’t necessarily need two scenic designers, so if anyone has an idea for a different role there is some flexibility built in there.
