As we are all working/learning from home for the foreseeable future, here are some digital resources for performances or educational opportunities.  I will try to keep these as updated as possible.

Online Performances

  • Andrew Lloyd Weber is making his musical available to stream for free.  They will be posted every Friday and stay available for 48 hours.  'Phantom of the Opera' will be available starting Friday, April 17.  Click here for details.
  • The National Theatre will post NT Live Performances for free via YouTube.  Next performance available starting Thursday, April 23 will be 'Twelfth Night' with 'Frankenstein' (starring Benedict Cumberbatch) available starting Thursday April 30.   Click here for details.
  • Cirque Connect has videos of Cirque de Soleil performances, makeup techniques, even cirque workouts.

  • 15 Broadway Plays and Musicals you can Watch from Home including Rent, Billy Elliot, Into the Woods, and Newsies.

Learning Tools

  • A Beginner's Guide to Stage Makeup is a great starting point for young performers and technicians wanting to learn more about the art.  Special shout-out to Amelia for finding this one and passing it along!
  • Broadway Dreams Daily Free Arts Training offers free online programming to help students learn.  These workshops feature Broadway artists, actors, choreographers.  Click here for details​​
  • Disney 'Imagineering in a Box' is a series of videos that highlights the many ways Disney Imagineers work and create magic live and on screen.  Click here for details
  • Lighting Design Online Tools are awesome digital tools for seeing what different lighting effects will look like on stage.
