Technical and Design Applications

For all technical positions, submit an updated resume as well as a formal business letter detailing the position(s) you are interested in, as well as the reason you believe you would be good for this position.  Submit the letter and resume to Mr. Faw through email (afaw@ncmcs.org).

  • Stage Manager:  Stage manager will (usually) not be a performer on stage.  Stage manager can also be a designer/TD.  Stage manager should be enrolled in technical theatre.  
  • Assistant Stage Manager(s):  ASM will generally not be a performer on stage.  ASM can also be a designer/TD.  Preferable that ASM is enrolled in technical theatre, but not required.
  • Scenic Design:  Scenic designer may be an actor on stage, or may be an SM/ASM.  Scenic Designer should be enrolled in technical theatre.
  • Technical Director:  TD may be an actor on stage, or may be an SM/ASM.  Technical Director should be enrolled in technical theatre (depending on the needs of the show, the Scene Designer and TD position may be combined).
  • Costume Designer:  Costume Designer may be an actor on stage, or may be an SM/ASM.  Costume Designer should be enrolled in technical theatre.
  • Lighting Designer:  Lighting Designer may be an actor on stage, or may be an SM/ASM.  Lighting Designer should be enrolled in technical theatre.  
  • Properties Designer:  Properties Designer may be an actor on stage, or may be an SM/ASM.  Properties Designer should be enrolled in technical theatre.  
  • ???????:  Am I missing a position you're interested in?  Submit an application for it!
